Now that the Run For Life event is over, it’s time to pay attention to the next event, the One Cebu Business and Sustainability Summit 2010. Read on for more details about the Summit.

Learn. Connect. Commit. Act. That is the general thrust of this year’s Mandaue Business Movement (MBM 2010) and also for the One Cebu Sustainability Summit 2010. After the recently concluded Mandaue Run for Life 2010, the One Cebu Sustainability Summit 2010 will be on August 9, 2010 at the Cebu international Convention Center, Mandaue City.

One Cebu Sustainability Summit 2010 will be attended by top business executives. The business summit has the theme “The Sustainable Business Revolution: A Call to Action“. The intent of the summit is to leave the participants with an understanding of what they need to do to contribute to sustainable development and the strong commitment to do something about it.

Today was the busiest day of the week for me, despite being a Sunday.

I had my alarm set up to go off at approximately 2:30AM so that I’d have enough time to get ready for the marathon. I took a quick shower, got some breakfast and then I was off to Parkmall Mandaue for the Mandaue Run for Life 2010. I signed up for the 5k category and was a tad bit excited to run again after—only God knows how long it’s been when I last ran. When I got there, I could swear that I must have gone to the wrong place, because it was still soooo dark. I texted Empress to ask whether or not they were on their way, or even coming.

She told me that the marathon’s not starting until 5. It was still 3:50AM. I should’ve stayed in bed for an hour more, I thought to myself.

This is going to be my first marathon ever. I’m not even sure if I’ll run another marathon. O.O

I’ve just registered and it has been 8 years since I was a track and field athlete for 2 days.

The Mandaue Business Movement 2010 will hold the Mandaue Run for Life 2010 this coming August 1, 2010, 4am, at the Parkmall West Parking. Running categories are as follows:

• 3k
• 5k
• 10k
• 15k
• Kids’ Run

Entry fee is P250.00 for all categories. Last day of registration is on July 29, 2010, so register now!

The marathon signals the start of the MBM 2010 events. This will be participated in by various civic and business organizations in Mandaue and Cebu. Proceeds of the marathon will be allocated for the benefit of MCCI’s medical mission and the Dasig Kabataan Foundation.
