The SM Northwing Wi-Fi Launching

July 31st

The day that I skipped work, not exactly skipped work, but I filed a leave just to attend the launching at SM City Cebu’s Wi-Fi Launching.

Live blogging right now, so everything will be all over the place.

Nikki Taylor on the mix, never really realized that it would take that long to mix one song. Except for knowing that I’m in a mall right now, it sounds just like being in a nightclub right now.

A girl named Debbie just won a PSP for answering the first question. Dang, stupid Google took too long to pull up on my browser, and I’m using Google Chrome.

Dang. A NokiaE51 just got out of my grasp. Tsk.

Jose Farrugia and Michael Sinjin Pineda just grabbed the second and first place as featured blogs.

Anyway, news is that effective August 4, SM City Cebu will provide free wi-fi all throughout the mall. Now, what about the shops that offer wif-fi at a fee? What’s gonna happen to them?  Hmm, looks like I’m gonna have to ask Sinjin about this. :)

Krua Thai

It was one of those bored-out-of-mind days again, and we were strolling around the mall, trying to find something useful to do. On days like this one, I would normally be in front of my computer, trying to find something to do, watching anime, or trying to put up at least one blog post.

But here I was, doing nothing but walking around in the mall, when we suddenly smelled something that caught our senses. It was the glorious smell of spices. It was then that we realized that we were standing right in front of a Thai restaurant.

I guess we were standing too close to the entrance, because I’ve never smelled the spices from this place before, and I have been passing the same restaurant for the nth time since I first came to Cebu.

Since I was starving, we decided to eat at the Thai restaurant. I don’t remember how much we spent, but I can definitely say that the spices are not easy to forget.

Anyway, here are some shots from the Krua Thai. Read the rest of this entry »

Bisdak Blogger

Bisdak Blogger is the keyword for the mini-SEO contest that a lot of the Cebu bloggers have joined. Headed by Winston of BatangYagit.com, the said prize is a t-shirt that has Pinoy Blogger plastered at the front. Although the prize might not be much, the challenge to top the Big G’s Search Engine Results Pages or SERPs is too good to pass up.

And since the contest as already started and I’m a little late, I have very little hopes of topping the Bisdak Blogger in the SERPs, but who knows, I might still be able to make it to the top 10.

Anyway, if you’re interested in SEO, check out SEO Tutorial.

Now let’s see how good this Bisdak Blogger is in the SERPs.

Gellatissimo

According to Wikipedia,

Gelato, or the plural Gelati, is Italian ice cream made from a liquid, milk or water; a solid, sugar, fats or sweeteners; flavorings, pastes, fruit powders; stabilizers, guar gum, locust bean, etc.; emulsifiers, mono- and digylcerides; and air.

Gellatissimo

Today’s another day of my rest day and boy, am I glad that I got to take the weekend off. I was able to spend some time with my fam and I was able to go out and just relax without having to worry about anything else. For today, we hung out at several different spots, but I’m gonna talk more about the new ice cream place at the SM City Cebu. Ooops, I forgot, it’s gelato, not ice cream.

Gellatissimo.

Gellatissimo’s got a lot of flavors lined up but since I’m a chocolate lover, I gave special attention to their chocolate selections all place in one window. I’m a dark chocolate fanatic, so I chose to have Belgian Chocolate. My little brother and sister both got themselves Chocolate Truffle while my mommy got herself the Honey and T-something Malt. I forgot what the name was. She liked it, but since Gellatissimo allowed free tasting, my mom asked if she can have a little taste of the Bloody Orange gelato.

She loved the Bloody Orange gelato than the one she got. I didn’t get to taste it personally, but maybe if I got enough cash on hand and if I think it’s not that impractical to treat myself every now and then, maybe I can get myself a serving of each flavor someday soon.

Anyway, this is how much one serving of a single gelato looks like.

Ayala Center Cebu’s The Terraces

I know the hype about Ayala Center Cebu’s The Terraces has long been gone and over, but I finally decided to update this blog with The Terraces anyway. My mom’s in town and it just happened that it was my day off the following day she got into town and it was a Sunday, so we went out to Ayala Center to just hang out and chill. It’s been way too long since I got out and just chilled.

My shift ended at 12:30AM but I didn’t get home until it was almost 2AM. My mom had to open the gate to let me in. So it was a little over 2:30AM when I finally fell asleep. Anyway, since the weather wasn’t too hot, I got very good undisturbed sleep until 11:something. My mom had lunch ready and after eating lunch, I spent some time on my laptop and realized that it has been a while since I last worked on my laptop, conceptualizing what my next blog post is going to be about.

And since the fam’s going to Ayala Center, I decided that it’s about time I wrote about the mall, no matter how bad it may be to other people. :P

These shots were taken from late afternoon till early evening.
