Do You Want to Be Fair, Cebu?

This sounds interesting. I think I want to be FAIR this August. :D

The Fair Trade Shop Cebu and the Global Xchange Team 107 are choosing to be FAIR.

This August, their unified statement is- “I want to be FAIR, do you?”

As part of its anniversary, the Fair Trade Shop Cebu is launching the “I want to be FAIR” campaign. It aims to inform and to mobilize the public about the Fair Trade advocacy and how it helps in eradicating social inequalities especially in business and trade.

Let’s Celebrate Father’s Day at the Persimmon Plus

Well, it’s not Father’s Day exactly, but it’s better! Father’s Day may be this coming Sunday, but Aboitizland has thought of a way to celebrate it without getting in the way of families who want to celebrate the day itself in private.

This is an open event, so it’s not limited to fathers and their families. There’s going  to be lots of games and pet clubs all over Cebu have also agreed to come to the said event. I’m going to be bringing along my April, so if you’re going to come, bring everybody. There’s plenty of room anyways. :D

Count Me In: Apila Ko!

Count Me In! or Apila Ko! is World Vision Organization‘s new campaign against the inability for children to go to school. On the 19th, the World Vision Organization organized a press conference to launch the new campaign at Cafe Laguna, The Terraces, at Ayala Center Cebu with Youth Ambassador Nikki Gil.

Although the organization has been around for more than a couple of decades already in the Philippines alone, it seems they have not been able to spread out fully. And now, they are slowly spreading the world in Cebu City. Their target: 600 sponsors in Cebu City. Read the rest of this entry »
