Waking up for some yogurt was really something that I never imagined doing before. One, you can’t get yogurt anywhere in Cebu unless you go to a place somewhere in Banilad, which I am even unfamiliar with. Two, yogurt in the morning without having anything in your stomach can make you, well, queasy. Nonetheless, like I said in my previous post, I’m a big yogurt fan, and I’m not about to let the first unpacked and non-supermarket sold yogurt pass me by.

I actually detailed how to go to the actual stall in the previous post, but I ended up getting lost myself. I knew where the stall was going to be, but I actually went the opposite way, missing the stall by just a mere 2 meters. I still can’t believe I didn’t look the other way when I knew the stall had to be around there.

Mall hours start at 10AM and I got to the stall at around 10:30ish because I got lost. Pffft. But that’s ok. Everybody else was late anyway. Haha. And of course, who else will I be there with? Nobody else but the Cebu Bloggers Society.

It’s almost Valentine’s Day and couples are busy making plans for the big day. As a call center employee, holidays mean little to me, since I still work on those days. They only mean something if I get paid to work on them. To me, they’re just like any old day, except you get paid more. Teehee. But Valentine’s Day is not even a legal or a special holiday, so might as well make everyday Valentine’s for me.

Instead of not feeling Valentine’s again, I’m planning on watching Faccias De Amore (Faces of Love), a play presented by the University of San Carlos (USC-CEBU) College of Nursing in partnership with Teatro Sugbo, Incorporated. The play is currently ongoing, scheduled from February 11-13, 2010, with 2 showings per day, at 4:30PM and 7:30PM. For those interested in watching the play, you can go to the University of San Carlos (USC)- South Campus along corners J. Alcantara St., P. Del Rosario Ext. and V. Rama Ave. Cebu City.

I’ve been blogging even before I joined this group, but blogging wasn’t as fun as when I did.

In two years, blogging in Cebu has ripened from just being a mere online diary to something that takes an active role in civic and social awareness.

One of the factors that contributed to this positive development in the blogging scene in Cebu is the creation of a local blogging community.

The Cebu Bloggers Society was founded on February 14, 2008, with the main goal of uniting Cebu-based bloggers into a well-bonded community. The anniversary celebration will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2010, 5-9PM, at the Celebration Hall of SM Storyland, Lower Ground Floor, SM City Cebu.

It’s been quite a while since I went out on a rest day, most especially with the CBS peeps. The date was April the 25th, which is by the way, my little sister’s birthday, and the day when the power went out for more than two hours, approximately. I was supposed to finish some chores at home, but at around 10am, the lights went out and my laptop went blank on me, because I had it on power supply rather than battery. So my Naruto Shippuuden episode 106 viewing got interrupted. I waited for about 20 minutes and no signs of the power coming back on came. So I just decided to shower and then meet up with the CBS peeps at Max’ Restaurant at SM City. The time was supposed to be set at 11am, but we didn’t meet each other till about 11:30am.

Anyway, I’m really not sure what the occassion was, but we had a 15% discount on the meal, which was great, because of the company we had, I’m not gonna say that the food sucked, the food was okay, pretty ok, most especially the Sinigang na Hipon, which was really good in my opinion, I just didn’t get to see how much it costed though. The bloggers has Crispy Pata, which I skipped, because I don’t eat pork, Max’s Fried Chicken, Sinigang na Hipon, Halo-halo and Garlic Rice. For drinks, majority had Iced Tea, Empress had some Pepsi and I, well, since it was on the menu, I had to have the Green Mango Shake.

Just last week, I was at a beach resort in Bantayan island for the team building. I enjoyed the trip immensely. Now, Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort, in cooperation with Pinoy World, is hosting a free summer blowout. All CBS bloggers are invited to the said event. Actually, all Cebu-based bloggers are encouraged to join the activity.

The free summer blowout will take place on May 16, 2009, that’s a Saturday, so mark your calendars already. It’s a work day for me, but if I get a chance to come, I will have to find a way to get my scheduled rest days swapped to Saturday and Sunday!

Bisdak Blogger is the keyword for the mini-SEO contest that a lot of the Cebu bloggers have joined. Headed by Winston of BatangYagit.com, the said prize is a t-shirt that has Pinoy Blogger plastered at the front. Although the prize might not be much, the challenge to top the Big G’s Search Engine Results Pages or SERPs is too good to pass up.

And since the contest as already started and I’m a little late, I have very little hopes of topping the Bisdak Blogger in the SERPs, but who knows, I might still be able to make it to the top 10.

Well, just this afternoon, I finally got to meet the, shall we say, “newbies” of the Cebu Bloggers Society. What I love about this group is that you can’t be too nervous in meeting someone because they look forward to meeting you.

The shoot was set at Fuente Circle between 1:30PM till 3:30PM. The photographer was Vanjhnn, who’s also hosting the upcoming Cebu Bloggers Society’s Christmas Party. Well, being a good kid, he of course was on time along with the newbies. Among the pioneering members of the CBS, I was the first one to be there. I’ve been putting off my appointments with the CBS peeps for quite a while now, and I was missing the meetups, the socialization, the writing and well, pretty much cyberspace.

Anyway, I got to Fuente at around 2PM, with my phone on my ear trying to contact one of the pioneer bloggers. When I was unable to contact the pioneers, I just shifted my sight on Vanjhnn’s tripod and said, “CBS mo?”. In English, “You from CBS?”. They of course smiled and well, that was it. Everybody introduced themselves and I think I’ll have to update this blog post later when I get the pics up from Alex’s site. Alex, by the way, is my new boyfriend.

Last Sunday, the 10th of August at around 2PM, I got out of the office and got on a jeepney right to about a few blocks away from the Ayala Center. It was time again for another meet up for the Cebu bloggers.

I slowly walked my way to the coffee shop and ordered myself a hot cafe mocha. So yummy, so delish. About ten minutes later, Kevin of http://marroxas2010.blogspot.com/ joined me, and then Winston of http://batangyagit.com/ joined us as well. Xerxes of http://obnoxiousqueer.com/ didn’t  take too long and joined us as well.

Since it’s been a while since I went online, I wasn’t getting too updated with who was coming to the meet up or not, so I was kinda surprised at the new face that came in next. McBilly of http://www.mcbilly.com/ came in to the coffee shop and  shook hands with us. How gentlemanly.
