Red Box Karaoke: A Private Preview

It has been a while since I went out and sang my heart out at a Karaoke bar. In fact, the last time I sang karaoke was at home, using two amplifiers, my laptop and the Internet connection. In case you were wondering why I was using two amps, the first one was for the music and the second one was for the microphone. Now, a few days back, a little invitation was sent out to some Cebu Bloggers Society members and I was part of the invited.

It was for Red Box Karaokes private launching.

Red Box Karaoke is a karaoke bar unlike any that I’ve been in before. But then again, I don’t normally go out singing karaoke often, so excuse my ignorance about the karaoke industry. :P

The branch that my fellow bloggers and I have gone to is actually the third branch of the Red Box franchise in the Philippines. The first three are located in Makati City and Quezon City. They will also be opening another branch in Quezon City this October.

Red Box Karaoke

Red Box Karaoke Cebu will be officially opening its doors to the public on the 3rd of September, 2010 at the G101 Garden Level, Ayala Center Cebu, Lagoon Development Center, Cebu City. Count Me In: Apila Ko!

Count Me In! or Apila Ko! is World Vision Organization‘s new campaign against the inability for children to go to school. On the 19th, the World Vision Organization organized a press conference to launch the new campaign at Cafe Laguna, The Terraces, at Ayala Center Cebu with Youth Ambassador Nikki Gil.

Although the organization has been around for more than a couple of decades already in the Philippines alone, it seems they have not been able to spread out fully. And now, they are slowly spreading the world in Cebu City. Their target: 600 sponsors in Cebu City. Read the rest of this entry »
