Halloween is almost here and everyone’s excited! Although I’m not really a big fan of the holidays, but sometimes it’s fun to dress up and do a little trick or treating too. Now speaking of Halloween, why don’t we talk about haunted hotels? Take note that I’ve never been to any haunted hotels before, but I have done some researching about them and well, creeped myself out.

Just imagine yourself going off for a holiday for a weekend of rest and relaxation and you wanna do it as cheap as possible. Then you stumble upon one particular hotel and you think the place looks really nice to stay in and the plus is that, it’s cheap! So you grab the chance and then all of a sudden find out exactly why it’s cheap!

Would you believe that in times such as the one that we are in right now that there are still arguments regarding Filipinos being labeled as Asians or as Pacific Islanders? I’ve never really heard about the term Pacific Islander, until I joined MySpace in 2004. That was when I first started wondering.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve never really doubted my being Asian. I just never really knew what being a Pacific Islander is all about. If you look at it in a nonsensical way, a Filipino might think that he/she is a Pacific Islander, since the Philippines is located basically just around the Pacific Ocean and the it’s composed of islands. Therefore, Filipinos are dubbed as Pacific Islanders.

Simple, right? Yup, simple for the simple-minded. Unless

My work shift starts at 1:30AM and ends at 10:30AM. On August 28, a Friday, after getting out of work, I was already not feeling too well. My little sister was coming over so I rested up a bit before she came. While waiting for her, I slowly ate some lunch so she got to eat with me when she arrived. I laid down since I was feeling the fever coming and I was getting the chills again.

Later that afternoon, I had bf come with me to the doctor. It was past four in the afternoon and he had to work at 10PM. Poor guy hasn’t had any sleep looking after me. The doctor probed me for possible symptoms, and wrote down some possible diagnoses.

• Pregnancy
• Dengue Fever
• Pneumonia

She asked me when I last had my period and I told her that I haven’t had it for 2 months already, so she asked me if I was expecting.

Last August 14th, I was one of the lucky ones who got invited by AboitizLand to First Bite:A Blogger’s Urban Lifestyle party. The main purpose of the event was to showcase AboitizLand’s new Urban Village in construction, which is The Persimmon.

The Meet Up

The party was to be held at Pristina North, situated in Talamban, Cebu. The first meeting place was supposed to be at the Aboitiz office in Mandaue, but since it wasn’t really easily accessible for the bloggers, the meeting place was changed to the Ayala Center’s Seattle’s Best Coffee Shop. The agreed time was 5PM, I was texting Empress so I could meet up with her in case the others were not there yet, and sure enough, there was not one blogger that I recognized in sight. So I just decided to sit down and wait for the others to come. Waiting didn’t take long, the others came one by one until everyone expected was there.

As of the moment, I’m using my new dual sim ready cellular phone to publish this new entry. I am currently laying on my back, hoping sleep will take me since I have to work at 1:30AM.

And no, my new phone is not wifi ready and I do not have any credits left in my sim card for WAP access. I’m only using a java application to access the Internet right now. Although access is limited and it is so much faster ti access the internet thru a laptop, nothing beats the convenience and free pricing of this app.

In our effort to unite artists, promote their artwork while at the same time serving our community, we would like to invite photo enthusiasts, photographers – both amateur and professional, to contribute their talent and skill for a cause. The entire proceeds of this project will go to Tsinelas Foundation, a non-profit organization which promotes literacy and assists poor students in poor barangays in Cebu.

The title seems pretty inappropriate considering the fact that we’ve already been there, but then again, after reading this post, you might wanna say that phrase when you find out what kind of experience we had at the resort.

This post is in relation to the bloggers’ experience at Maribago Bluewater Cebu and at Sumilon Island. Now how are the two resorts related? Almont Holdings Incorporated (AHI) currently owns and manages Sumilon Bluewater Beach Resort, Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort’s sister resort.

Due to the excitement build up, most of the chosen bloggers did not even get enough sleep before the trip. The agreed time and place to meet up was at 6AM and at SM City Cebu’s Northwing Main Entrance. Only a little more than 30 bloggers were invited to this event, majority of which included the Cebu Bloggers Society.

The day that I skipped work, not exactly skipped work, but I filed a leave just to attend the launching at SM City Cebu’s Wi-Fi Launching.

Live blogging right now, so everything will be all over the place.

Nikki Taylor on the mix, never really realized that it would take that long to mix one song. Except for knowing that I’m in a mall right now, it sounds just like being in a nightclub right now.

A girl named Debbie just won a PSP for answering the first question. Dang, stupid Google took too long to pull up on my browser, and I’m using Google Chrome.

Dang. A NokiaE51 just got out of my grasp. Tsk.

Jose Farrugia and Michael Sinjin Pineda just grabbed the second and first place as featured blogs.

Anyway, news is that effective August 4, SM City Cebu will provide free wi-fi all throughout the mall. Now, what about the shops that offer wif-fi at a fee? What’s gonna happen to them?  Hmm, looks like I’m gonna have to ask Sinjin about this.
