Free massage for Aboitiz Race to Reduce runners

Runners of the Aboitiz Race to Reduce Challenge: A Race for the Next Gen on Aug. 22 at the South Road Properties have something to look forward to after they cross the finish line: a quick yet soothing massage.

The massage, one of the innovations that organizers Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. (AEV) is featuring during the race, will be given by visually impaired masseurs and masseuses from the Area Vocational Rehabilitation Center (AVRC) II of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Barangay Labangon, Cebu City.

Coming from different local government units (LGUs) in Cebu and some parts of Mindanao, they were chosen by DSWD to be affiliated with the AVRC II because of their limited financial means. DSWD social workers coordinate with LGUs, which provide counterpart funds for either the fare or allowance of the visually impaired individuals qualified for training and affiliation with the AVRC.

More About Online Slots

I was actually wondering about how online slots look like, so I finally got the initiative to do a little research about it. It’s not like it’s a tough job. I mean, what’s Google’s Images Search Engine for? So a few milliseconds later, pages of images of slots, online and offline, lined up on my computer screen, just like the one posted above.

As more images were shown to me, the more I understood the concept of it as well as what websites that index online slots are about. I actually have been playing virtual slot games for quite a while now, but have not realized it, because I’ve been playing them as mini-games on my favorite games on Playstation or on my PC games.

Movie Marathons

Although I am currently too busy to do anything else but study for the upcoming exam, whenever it’s my day off of studying, what we usually do at home is go on movie marathons. Whether it’s an old movie or not, we really don’t care as long as the movie is good.

For this week, the movies that we’ve seen so far are Casino Royale, Bolt, Inception, Salt, Ong Bak, and a whole DVD of Jackie Chan movies, which by the way is a lot of movies. Since my weekends are usually boring, we always find ways to make boring weekends into fun-filled afternoons, since we sleep in pretty much the entire morning. :P

If movie marathons don’t do it for us, BF gets both of his amps out, whips the mic out, logs onto youtube, hook up the laptop to one of the amps and the mic into the other and we start singing karaoke the improvised way. And in my opinion, the instrumentals on youtube are waaaay better than what you’re used to singing to in karaoke bars.

It’s just too bad though, after a few hours or a whole afternoon/evening of enjoyment, I still feel guilty about not studying hard enough when I know that I can actually do really good at the exam if I just prefer to be diligent enough about it. I guess I should give up movie marathons for the meantime…

At least until the exam’s over.
