Coffee Breaks

You don’t necessarily have to love coffee just to have a coffee break. But then again, it’s not a coffee break without coffee. Kris Aquino once told a contestant on a show she used to host that he was missing half his life because he doesn’t drink coffee. I drink coffee, but not too much. I have trouble keeping myself awake during the day, but even if I took coffee, I still end up nodding in class. And I stopped having coffee as soon as I realized that coffee dried my lips. I still have some coffee every now and then, but not as much as I used to last semester.

American Idol Top 24 Results

And America has voted. The first four to leave the reality TV show are Garrett Haley, Amy Davis, Joanne Borgella and Colton Berry. Each contestant performed an encore of what they sang during performance nights as part of the American Idol tradition.

From left: Joanne Borgella, Amy Davis, Garrett Haley, Colton Berry and American Idol host Ryan, Seacrest.

Garrett Haley did an encore run of his performance of “Breaking Up Is Hard To Do”. Amy Davis did “Where the Boys Are”, Joanne Borgella sang “I Say A Little Prayer” and Colton Berry did “Suspicious Minds”. As usual, Simon Cowell has been harsh on the contestants’ performances, not just the booted four, but he does have valid points, the only bad thing that he does is that a lot of people just can’t stand the ways he likes to blurt things out just like that.

Hmmm, I have my own opinions about the four, but I’m not gonna be as blunt as Simon was, not especially on my blog.

Identification Blues

It’s the 21st of February, 2008. That’s 11 days away from our Pre-board examination. The Pre-board examination lasts two days, and it’s supposed to let us know wat it’s like taking the actual board examination.

When the semester was just starting, the reviewer told us that the best time to take the board exam is during the first time an examinee takes the board exam. I know I want to take the exam just once only, because I’ve already wasted enough time going back to school for something that I don’t really want.Taking the exam will be just to close this chapter of my life.

The Key to Having More Money

Do not spend. Period. That’s an absolute way to have more money. Think about it. If you didn’t have to spend, and just kept on gaining or earning money from work, you’d have all that money in the bank and won’t have to worry about your future anymore. There is a big “but” here, though. Who in their right mind would not spend any money that he or she acquires?

That’s what earning money is about, right? So we can go ahead and spend it. The key here is to know when the right time to spend it is. And what it is for. And that’s why budgeting exists. You have to know how much you are going to spend in a week at least. Try some of these tips on saving up.

Making Money in my New Room

I finally moved out, and I’m happy to say that I am less stressed now. But of course I still go back to the siblings to check up on them and to use the internet, but I’m gonna have to use the internet without them around. Otherwise, the brother who never did anything but sit in front of the TV, play video games, and watch anime on the computer will have me pay for internet use, which I use to communicate with the bf, check my emails, and for freelance writing. Can you tell that I’m annoyed?

Deadlines

Deadlines are very important in a person’s life, or job, most specifically. Your bosses would give you a job and expect you to finish it by the said deadline. What would you do if you screw up and be late for it? How are you going to tell your boss that he just didn’t give you enough time to finish it?

When bosses give you deadlines, they expect you to finish it and expect that there is nothing in your life that could affect your job. That’s why a lot of people prefer doing their own businesses instead of working for somebody. Working for somebody would mean complying to their rules or terms and would also mean you have to follow almost everything that they want you to do.

Gifted Child Recognition

As I flipped through the pages of the most recent issue of Reader’s Digest, an article caught my eye. It was about recognizing a gifted child. I agree that it is important to determine if a child is gifted or not. If a child is indeed gifted, it is important to help promote his or her intelligence, curiosity and desire to learn. It would be such a waste if the child’s talents were not supported. As I read through the short article, I could not help but feel a little bitter towards my parents. But then again, my parents didn’t know better and were poor. They were just happy that they had me. Not that I’m trying to say that I am all that smart, I am smart, but I’ve known people who are far smarter than me.

Fast Food Customer Service

It doesn’t matter if it’s fast food or actual restaurant customer service, as long as the service is good. Just a few hours ago, my sister and I felt like eating out at a fast food joint, since we haven’t eaten out in quite a while. Fast food here’s cheap and yeah well, fast. So we ordered some chicken, some extra rice, two sundaes, one iced tea and one Coke. The girl behind the counter gives us everything, except the two extra rice we ordered and only one sundae. Sure it was cheaper, but we didn’t get what we wanted, and then when we asked her where the extra rice was, she looked at us so sternly and said, “You didn’t order any.”. Then she looked at the receipt, and sure enough, she didn’t punch the extra order. Then we told her we ordered two sundaes, then says, “No, you didn’t.”. I took out some extra money and handed it to her just to get the extra sundae, because it would be unfair if only one of us had dessert. she gave us the other sundae giving us the “you’re stupid” look. And that’s what got my blood boiling.
