Rest Days and Pay Day

One of my rest days happened to coincide with payday and well, this time, it’s coinciding again, well, almost. The only bad thing to actually resting on rest days is that you wouldn’t want to get back to work anymore. I don’t intend to stop working, but two days in a row really gets my lazy butt not wanna work again. But then again, I just start thinking about the upcoming salary and that motivates me to get back to work.

I don’t like it when some of my co-workers whine that they aren’t getting as much as I am getting. It’s not my fault that they don’t show up for work when they should be. What, did they expect to be paid for days that they didn’t work on?

So what did I do on my rest days? Well, I slept in, I ate out, and met up with the bloggers for the event with Janette Toral. I wish I had even a pen and paper with me, so that I could’ve written down some details. Anyway, I got my CBS tshirt and if I wasn’t too lazy, I would’ve posted a pic as soon as I got it.

But it’s pay day again this week, and right after my rest days too. So looks like I won’t be spending as much as I did last pay day.

Wiki for Shopping

If Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia, this site is an online shopping guide that pretty much has any product on it. It even has estiamted prices of products on it. Just check this page out about the Nintendo Wii. It’s got the most descriptive article about the Nintendo Wii that I’ve seen so far and it even has articles about the Wii’s peripherals. The best thing about this site is that it’s got stores lined up for you so you won’t have to look for a place where to shop for the item that you are looking for.

Take for example the Nintendo Wii, it’s got over 404 stores that you can choose to buy the console from. And if you notice, the shop wiki page for the Nintendo Wii has links towards other shop wiki pages, for more reference to the products associated with item that the shopper is looking for.

Now if you like the Nintendo DS, try searching for it on ShopWiki and it should show you stores on where you can find on at a cheaper price. The more stores you look at one page, the more chances you can find cheaper items up for grabs. I’m one of those people who don’t have the time to go out and shop, so I do my shopping online when I’m at home. I’m a little obssessed with gadgets, so I like to browse online about them.

Since I found the wiki for shopping, I might as well favorite it for future references. Who knows, with this many shops lined up, online shopping just got easier.

Back Online!

Whew, after what seemed about more than a month later, I finally got my Internet connection back! But then again, lost time can never be regained. So what I can do is just start from scratch since where I left off pretty much is nowhere to be found now, and I have no idea on how I can get back up now. Looks like some extra work, but then again, I love to write, and the objective of this blog is not just to make money off of it, but to get something done on it.

Now what? Oh yeah, just last night, the Cebu bloggers and I met up again and we have our official shirts getting printed now. Here are some shots that I got last night. Honestly speaking, I never thought I’d be very lazy to even write this post. It’s been a while and I really don’t like being offline that long. Being offline that long can get you, ummm, not well enough to be a blogger. :P

Filipino Blog of the Week

Never in a million years did I even think about getting a nomination for the Filipino Blog of the Week at The Composed Gentleman. The same day that the equipment got pulled out from the house, I went out to a nearby Internet cafe to update my blogs and when I checked on my messages on my comment box, I got a notification that this blog has been nominated for the Filipino Blog of the Week.

Not too sure how I’m feeling about getting a nomination actually, but it is kinda cool, since it has been a while since I got nominated for anything actually. Haha. Can’t remember when the time I got nominated as the worst in staying up in class. In short, I always fell asleep in class.

I think the award was called Sleepy Hollow. Imagine that. I was awarded in front of the entire graduating class.

Anyway, if you would be so kind, dear readers, hop on over to The Composed Gentleman and vote for me!

Thanks a lot! :D

PLDT Customer Service

I work as a technical support representative at a call center, so I should know customer service well. Since I disconnected my service with Smartbro, I contemplated about changing to PLDT I don’t read as much complaints about PLDT than Globelines.

From the office, there’s a PLDT office along the way, so putting aside procrastination, I went to the office to ask about the requirements in getting hooked up with PLDT.

So I walked into the building, I asked the guard on duty about where I can ask about applications. Of course I meant which section and what desk. And he did point me to customer service.

Since PLDT is a Telecommunications company, it’s supposed to have only one central office and the same set of rules, unlike fast food chains.

No More Internet!

To not have Internet at home is like the end of a blogger’s career. Well, in my case, at least. I’m not about to spend more than I have already done so just to keep the blog updated. Renting a computer per hour is way more expensive than having unlimited Internet at home. If you check one of my previous posts, you’d notice that I was already considering getting the Internet connection at home cut off.

And I did.

Finally, I have ended any association I have with Smartbro. At first I was just starting to complain about the intermittent connectio, then they of course promised to send someone out to fix the connection, they even called the day before to confirm it.
