Count Me In: Apila Ko!

Count Me In! or Apila Ko! is World Vision Organization‘s new campaign against the inability for children to go to school. On the 19th, the World Vision Organization organized a press conference to launch the new campaign at Cafe Laguna, The Terraces, at Ayala Center Cebu with Youth Ambassador Nikki Gil.

Although the organization has been around for more than a couple of decades already in the Philippines alone, it seems they have not been able to spread out fully. And now, they are slowly spreading the world in Cebu City. Their target: 600 sponsors in Cebu City. Read the rest of this entry »

NEO Laptops Launching in Cebu

Neo—the first Philippine laptop brand has finally and formally launched their product and at what better venue than the Crown Regency itself in Cebu City? Here is the official press release from Neo. I totally enjoyed the day with Cebu Bloggers Society Inc and the people who came. Before I get out of topic, this brand had been around in the market for a quite some time already, but people don’t really know the story about it. They just know that it’s cheaper than most laptops.

And now we know why.

It’s because Neo is the first Philippine laptop brand ever. Since Intel processors are manufactured in the Philippines (as far as I know, correct me I am wrong), Neo can afford to go as low as PhP19,000 without compromising quality.

Here’s the lineup that Neo had at the launching…

Mosbeau in Cebu

 Mosbeau Cebu with the bloggers
14 days. That’s Mosbeau‘s promise to whiter skin.

A few months ago, while walking among the common peeps in one of my, unconsciously, favorite beauty stores, I saw this product. Of course I wondered what it was about since Angel Locsin is the current endorser of the product.

At first, I thought it was pronounced as Mos-Bo. So I read through the leaflet and when I read that it was a Japanese product, I was like, okay, it’s short for most beautiful, so it’s Mosbeau. :D

I have had my share of whitening products, lotions, toners, and everything else. i’m not looking to be super white, I just have skin blemishes/scars which I believe that if those parts were white enough, they’d be barely visible.

Underarm skin is also very sensitive. If you use the wrong deodorant or anti-perspirant, those can stain your underarms resulting in dark underarms. I don’t have dark underarms, but it won’t hurt to have whiter underarms.

Cebu Blog Camp 2010

And here we are, more than 24 hours after the blog camp has ended. The event started at 8:30AM and was scheduled to end by 5:30 PM, but the event went on till almost 7:00PM.

I registered for the Cebu Blog Camp about a week and a half before the actual event. Winston invited me to register himself, I did tell him I wanted to come, but since my work schedule was still changing at the time, I just couldn’t promise.

As soon as I handed my resignation in, the events with the Cebu Bloggers Society Inc. started piling in and more online opportunites started bombarding me.

As I sifted through my schedule, I realized that I would not be able to make it to the Cebu Blog Camp unless they’d allow me to come super late. Since it was a whole day event, I decided to come anyway.

I had the privilege of hearing four (4) speakers give their insights on the whole blogging and reporting difference and how you can monetize or market your blog as well as how blogging for a chosen advocacy can make your life much better.

Saying Goodbye

I’ve been working for my current employer for almost two years now, but I’ve finally decided to say goodbye to my first legitimate employer. Sure, I’ve had part time jobs here and there, and even got paid more than my current employer has, but those jobs can’t give me a certificate of employment, can’t give me experience with actual working environment, and all the good stuff about being a corporate slave.  :P

I’ve decided to put an end to having a schedule-driven, being forced to do something that you don’t wanna, and most importantly, you don’t get to do what you want to do, kind of life. It would have been nice if you really liked what you are doing, but no, the job I chose was just for that, work experience.

Why did I start working when I was making more at home, you ask?

Charice Doing Justin Beiber!

No, not that way! In the Philippines, most especially in comedy bars, it’s common for entertainers to imitate everybody, most especially if you are just sizzling hot on the Internet and the Entertainment world like Justin Beiber.

Take a look as Charice Pempengco imitates Justin Beiber’s hair flip, dance moves, way of speaking and even singing.
