Faccias de Amore

It’s almost Valentine’s Day and couples are busy making plans for the big day. As a call center employee, holidays mean little to me, since I still work on those days. They only mean something if I get paid to work on them. To me, they’re just like any old day, except you get paid more. Teehee. But Valentine’s Day is not even a legal or a special holiday, so might as well make everyday Valentine’s for me. :D

Instead of not feeling Valentine’s again, I’m planning on watching Faccias De Amore (Faces of Love), a play presented by the University of San Carlos (USC-CEBU) College of Nursing in partnership with Teatro Sugbo, Incorporated. The play is currently ongoing, scheduled from February 11-13, 2010, with 2 showings per day, at 4:30PM and 7:30PM. For those interested in watching the play, you can go to the University of San Carlos (USC)- South Campus along corners J. Alcantara St., P. Del Rosario Ext. and V. Rama Ave. Cebu City.

For those wondering what the play is all about, let me give you a brief summary that might get your interest.  This is quoted from the Cebu Bloggers Society forum:

I’ve been blogging even before I joined this group, but blogging wasn’t as fun as when I did. :D

In two years, blogging in Cebu has ripened from just being a mere online diary to something that takes an active role in civic and social awareness.

One of the factors that contributed to this positive development in the blogging scene in Cebu is the creation of a local blogging community.

The Cebu Bloggers Society was founded on February 14, 2008, with the main goal of uniting Cebu-based bloggers into a well-bonded community. And indeed, after its creation, individuals with diverse backgrounds but with a common interest, which is to promote Cebu and advocate blogging as a key tool for progress, converged together to establish Cebu’s first and largest blogging community.

The Cebu Bloggers Society has really grown and evolved quite significantly. From its humble beginnings, the group presently has at least 80 members and the number is still bound to increase further.

And now, the group is already anticipating its 2nd founding anniversary! Dubbed as “CBS @ 2: The Cebu Bloggers Society 2nd Anniversary Celebration”, the event is envisioned to further strengthen the bond of friendship and camaraderie within the blogging community.

The anniversary celebration will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2010, 5-9PM, at the Celebration Hall of SM Storyland, Lower Ground Floor, SM City Cebu.

This big and important event won’t be possible without the help and assistance of the following:

Planning on Moving?

moving

In the Philippines, the picture depicts how people move from one address to another (at least in the olden days or in super rural areas). But if you are in the Los Angeles area and plan on moving to a different zip code, and you have too much stuff to move, you’re either going to have to start selling or better yet, you can contact
Los Angeles Office Movers and get a FREE estimate on your move. They accept last minute moving calls, and well, basing on experience, moving around a lot is definitely no easy task.

About eight months ago, I moved closer to my workplace since my old address was just super far and I ended up losing sleep because of the time it took to just travel. I never really got the concept of moving until I moved out on my own. When I still lived with my parents, my dad would drive me to school and it was just so worry-free.

Birthday boy with Choco Loco
Daily short entries are never good enough for this blog. I always have to post at least more than 100 words or else I feel as if the essence of writing is not there. This particular post is dedicated to a good friend of mine within the CBS group. He celebrated his birthday not too long ago and the CBS went to celebrate the special occasion with him as well. On November 15, 2009, we met up at the Cream and Bake Shop for the formal celebration of his birthday, instead of on his actual birthday.

Allow me to tell you something about the Ethelbert that I know…

1. It’s never boring/quiet whenever he’s around.
2. He’s a kind-hearted person who cares about the environment and people who need caring.
3. He’s one of the funniest people that you will ever know.
4. And there is so much more that you would need to get to know him personally to find out what they are.

There was a lot of food laid out on the table, a lot of which I did not get even a taste of, which is perfectly fine because Ethelbert did bother getting some food on the table that I could eat. :D

Check out what we had at Cream and Bake’s. :)

Brasco Pizza and Pasta

CBS at Brasco's

Just last week, I had the privilege of getting invited to a restaurant opening, the Brasco Pizza and Pasta pizza parlor. I was pretty swamped with everything that has been going on and I was looking to do overtime at work for the extra cash and had just started working out. Thing is, I noticed my blog hasn’t been updated in quite a while already, so I grabbed the chance and here I am writing a review about the place.

When asked why Brasco was named as such, we found out that Brasco basically stands for Bryan’s Aspirations Company. It may not be much, but then again, the thought is there and plus, it is Italian-sounding, a fitting name for an Italian delicacy.

Located in The Gallery along Juan Luna Avenue in Cebu City, Brasco Pizza and Pasta opened its very first branch, hoping to attract the growing pizza lovers crowd.

It’s been a while since I played online games, and frankly speaking, I don’t like working too hard for something just to get what I want in a game. First, because I play not to get stressed over something I can’t get. Second, I just don’t have the time to work too hard for gold. So I heard that there are veteran gamers who work hard for you, who gets you what you need in a game that you’re already frustrated at, and makes things a whole lot easier for you.

And The Winner Is…

Being in a city where you don’t have anything else but your job and some family, makes you want to get something that you want to call a home. You start out with renting a room, then when you’ve got enough saved up, you want to start renting an apartment for more privacy, until you start wanting to own your own house.

But even when you are still renting a room, you already start getting yourself some furniture. I’m at that stage right now. Still renting a room, but shopping for furniture already.

For a person who barely have enough time to go out, what do you do when you want to look for something?

You get on the Internet of course!

I wanted to look for some Modern Furniture , something that will fit the theme I have in mind for my future home. :D You might wanna click on the link if you want some pretty savvy furniture, That site has some nice stuff on it, and the best thing about it is that they ship INTERNATIONALLY!
