Miss Wilhelmina

At first I just saw cordless vacuum cleaners on infomercials. These infomercials can really catch your eye. They make you wanna watch it until its done and sometimes makes you pick up the phone and order it right away. But that was about 10 years ago, back when I was too young to even look for a job or at least back when my dad would let me go look for a job.

But now that I live away from home, I had to pick up after myself, make sure that everything’s spic and span, and that my room looks like a lady’s room and not a guy’s room. Well, if I stereotyped, that means a guy’s room is most of the time hideously messy. Come on guys, admit it. You hate cleaning, that’s why some guys have girlfriends to clean their rooms for them.

But since Dirt Devil started marketing off their cordless vacuums, I’ve been pretty much tempted to get on the phone and call for one. I mean, being where I am right now, saving on energy is a big thing and Dirt Devils’ vacuums have the Energy Star logo on them. But there’s one major setback. I’m in the Philippines and I don’t see any options of shipping to my address here. So I guess I might as well spread the word. Who knows, someone in the US might be kind enough to get me one and send me one here.

I’m yet again blessed with another day of my life marking my 24th year of my existence. One more line will be added to the creases on my face, not because of age and not because I regret anything, but because this has been a very joyful life for me. Any line I have will be thought of being  there because of laughing too much. Sure I’ve had my share of pains in this world, as well as heartaches, but they were all part of making me who I am today, and I’m very proud of how I turned out today.

Plans for today:
1. Wake up at 7AM.
2. Buy some ingredients for the spaghetti I’m cooking.
3. Pick up cupcakes from Cookiejar at 12NN.
4. Be at work by 1:30PM.
5. Don’t fall asleep at work.
6. Have the spaghetti and cupcake party during breaks.
7. Thank the Almighty for another great day.

I expected people to be there, but didn’t expect that there’d be that many people there. Umm, okay, so fifteen people isn’t really a lot, but it’s actually a pretty good crowd already, considering this is the first time most of us will be meeting. It’s just sad though that I couldn’t introduce myself because of my name. I mean, it’s pretty obvious that Wilhelmina isn’t such an easy name to say. It was just unfortunate that I wasn’t able to get everyone’s names. I asked everybody to just drop by this site and leave comments via the comment box, because it’d be easier for me to remember them if I’ve been to their sites.

Anyway, when I got there, Aldrin/Weblizzer from Web Tutorials was waiting outside the coffee shop. While I was walking towards the coffee shop, he had his cellphone in his hand, obviously waiting for a text message. From who? Me, of course. I was the only contact he had there.

I actually didn’t know it was him, but I knew he was one of those who was going to be there. But like a few minutes later, it was evident that he was indeed Weblizzer. Get Smart is a 1960′s American comedy show with the secret agent genre. It’s kinda like James Bond spoofed. I’m not about to start ranting or raving about the movie. I’m just gonna tell you readers that I went to see it with my little brother and sister and I totally enjoyed the movie. It was hilarious, for some it may not be, but it was hilarious for me. My brother laughed at every scene, my sister chuckled every time my brother laughed, and well, laughter is very contagious.

I haven’t gone out on a date with my sibs for a while now, actually never gone on a date with them without the parents and today was just great. It’s nice not having to worry about having something to eat until the next payday. It’s my birthday on the 30th and I saved up just enough for us to go out and have some fun.

Seriously, I look fat when I’m with my team mates. I’m not insecure about my weight or anything, I know that I have the right weight for me, my body’s proportional, but I’m not like some hot babe or anything like that. It’s just because my team mates are just—tiny.

Right now, my internet connection just sucks but I’m so not gonna be transferring to any other ISP. All the other ISPs are “fast”, but wait till you experience the downtimes. It woulda been better if they just had occassional slow speeds, but you totally lose your connection and your phone line’s dial tone won’t be where it’s supposed to be.

Would you believe that I’m going to another bloggers’ meet-up again? This time it’s gonna be at Bo’s Coffee Club, Capitol area, 2PM and at June 29, 2008, Sunday. Well, I’m not sure if it’s gonna be with the same people again this time, but I’m hoping that there will be familiar faces there as well.
