Last August 14th, I was one of the lucky ones who got invited by AboitizLand to First Bite:A Blogger’s Urban Lifestyle party. The main purpose of the event was to showcase AboitizLand’s new Urban Village in construction, which is The Persimmon.

The Meet Up

The party was to be held at Pristina North, situated in Talamban, Cebu. The first meeting place was supposed to be at the Aboitiz office in Mandaue, but since it wasn’t really easily accessible for the bloggers, the meeting place was changed to the Ayala Center’s Seattle’s Best Coffee Shop. The agreed time was 5PM, I was texting Empress so I could meet up with her in case the others were not there yet, and sure enough, there was not one blogger that I recognized in sight. So I just decided to sit down and wait for the others to come. Waiting didn’t take long, the others came one by one until everyone expected was there.

The Ride

Now since none of us really knew where we were going, we got picked up by two vans, where we spent the next half hour or so camwh*ring until we got to the Pristina North. There’s really not much to tell since that was all that we pretty much did on the van.

Well, what can I say, the place was huge and not to mention, far. We didn’t really mind since AboitizLand was taking care of transporting us back and forth. When we got there, the bloggers were already armed with the digital cameras, ready to start shooting the place. After the registration, we were given a briefing about what the Pristina North was all about, as well as a short overview about The Persimmon. After the briefing, the bloggers decided to head over to the pool area to have some pictures taken. After quite some time, food was served, and the SkyScraper crew finally arrived to give us some company as well.

Let the Games Begin

I’m not gonna go into full details about the games played, but the games were definitely about how well you know Cebu. It was fun playing the game, especially if you kept on winning even if you barely knew anything about Cebu, . Truth is, I was just guessing and going according to what my fellow bloggers were saying so I guess luck really helps out a lot too haha.

Let’s Get Down to Business

Now that fun time’s over, the media presentation began. The Persimmon presentation is what we came here for, so AboitizLand showed us The Persimmon. As it turns out, I was living just about five minutes away from The Persimmon.

For quite a while now, I have been observing the construction of The Persimmon, back from when the front of the construction site was still barred from public view with metal roof siene to now close-to-done real estate development.

I do hope I can say more about The Persimmon, but the best thing I can say would be to check out the latest at their website, and of course check out the pictures that I took of their models.
