Gellatissimo

According to Wikipedia,

Gelato, or the plural Gelati, is Italian ice cream made from a liquid, milk or water; a solid, sugar, fats or sweeteners; flavorings, pastes, fruit powders; stabilizers, guar gum, locust bean, etc.; emulsifiers, mono- and digylcerides; and air.

Today’s another day of my rest day and boy, am I glad that I got to take the weekend off. I was able to spend some time with my fam and I was able to go out and just relax without having to worry about anything else. For today, we hung out at several different spots, but I’m gonna talk more about the new ice cream place at the SM City Cebu. Ooops, I forgot, it’s gelato, not ice cream.

Gellatissimo.

Gellatissimo’s got a lot of flavors lined up but since I’m a chocolate lover, I gave special attention to their chocolate selections all place in one window. I’m a dark chocolate fanatic, so I chose to have Belgian Chocolate. My little brother and sister both got themselves Chocolate Truffle while my mommy got herself the Honey and T-something Malt. I forgot what the name was. She liked it, but since Gellatissimo allowed free tasting, my mom asked if she can have a little taste of the Bloody Orange gelato.

She loved the Bloody Orange gelato than the one she got. I didn’t get to taste it personally, but maybe if I got enough cash on hand and if I think it’s not that impractical to treat myself every now and then, maybe I can get myself a serving of each flavor someday soon.

Anyway, this is how much one serving of a single gelato looks like.

Gelato

Anyway, that thing up there cost me PhP95.00. That’s the Belgian Chocolate Gelato. I wanted to take a picture of all gelatos that we ordered, but as you can see, my gelato wanted to start dripping, so I had to let my family start eating their gelato before I got mine.

They also have a bigger cup, slightly larger than the one above where you can choose to have two flavors piled up together for PhP150.00 and an even bigger cup for PhP180.00. But that’s just the gelato side of the story. Gelatissimo also have sundaes for a higher price range. But that will be for another post. So for now…

That’s all the yumminess of the gelato dessert I can give. :)
