Well, just this afternoon, I finally got to meet the, shall we say, “newbies” of the Cebu Bloggers Society. What I love about this group is that you can’t be too nervous in meeting someone because they look forward to meeting you.
The shoot was set at Fuente Circle between 1:30PM till 3:30PM. The photographer was Vanjhnn, who’s also hosting the upcoming Cebu Bloggers Society’s Christmas Party. Well, being a good kid, he of course was on time along with the newbies. Among the pioneering members of the CBS, I was the first one to be there. I’ve been putting off my appointments with the CBS peeps for quite a while now, and I was missing the meetups, the socialization, the writing and well, pretty much cyberspace.
Anyway, I got to Fuente at around 2PM, with my phone on my ear trying to contact one of the pioneer bloggers. When I was unable to contact the pioneers, I just shifted my sight on Vanjhnn’s tripod and said, “CBS mo?”. In English, “You from CBS?”. They of course smiled and well, that was it. Everybody introduced themselves and I think I’ll have to update this blog post later when I get the pics up from Alex’s site. Alex, by the way, is my new boyfriend.

That’s what I got at Bo’s Coffee Club yesterday. If you read back on some of my coffee posts, you’d notice I’m pretty much in love with Cafe Mocha. I don’t usually have anything with my Cafe Mocha, but I felt I had to have something with it, so I skimmed the display for a Blueberry Cheesecake, but unfortunately, they didn’t have it on their menu for the day, so I got the Chocolate Sin instead, the laptop in the background by the way is NOT mine, that’s Aldrin’s, my partner in freelance web developing.
I don’t think he’s used to drinking coffee at coffee shops and the only type of coffee that he’s had at one is probably the Cafe Mocha as well. Well, anyway, so what was so special that we were at a coffee shop? Ummm, nothing personal, it was more of a business meeting that I’m afraid I cannot discuss on here.

The Blueberry Cheesecake. Bow.
I promised myself and my sibs that I’d get us some once I sign the contract for my regularization. Well, just this morning, at approximately seven something, my Team Lead called me to her station and she was pretty busy at the time, and was even catering to one of my team mates’ request for a supervisor call. She had me sit down at her desk and let me sign the contract, showed me how much my salary increase is, oriented me in a bunch of company policies, and well, with how busy everybody was at the time and with her still talking on the phone to an irate customer, she really didn’t have the time to discuss everything one by one. But then again, I have already read and I’m pretty much familiar with most of the company policies, so I went ahead and signed the job offer. So looks like I’m a regular now.
I’m gonna go ahead and call Monica and get that Blueberry Cheesecake ready for my little brother and sister and me, of course. I just wish my mom and dad were around though. Oh well, life’s tough like that. Hmmm, a boyfriend around would be nice too, but then again, life is that tough.
Anyway, I’ve also just checked on my log records at work and I counted the number of days that I’ve been working nonstop. 18 days with my rest days filed as overtimes. Dang! But, as long as the pay iis good this coming payday, I’m not complaining. Like my brother said, “Tch, workaholic.”

In reference to my last post, a day before the due date for the payment, I got my salary, checked the bill again, counted the days and realized I’m being billed for approximately 52 days. So that’s almost 2 months already. For 52 days, the modem charges were counted up to 381.33. So the bundled DSL and phone services were billed for 1,778.40. And, (insert deep sigh), apparently, taxes were not part of the charges yet, so they had inserted the EVAT on the bill for 213.41. Now, I finally understood that I’m being charged for almost two months, but what about the one-year free National Direct Dial service?
I decided to just ask the lady over the counter regarding the first bill as well as the NDD service. She explained to me the summary of the charges, confirming my suspicions, then I asked her about my free NDD service. She confirmed that it was free for a full year for national PLDT-to-PLDT calls. Then I asked her why it wasn’t on and told her that we’ve never even used it. We’ve had the service for almost two months and we haven’t even experienced the NDD service.

I’m trying to keep track of all the expenses going out of my pocket, and well, this is something I absolutely did not expect. Since I signed up for the 512 plan for PLDT, I was kinda expecting to pay the same amount that they have on the ad since they didn’t put anything that said “changes can be made wthout prior notice”. Look at this ad and of course, I asked a live person about the plan before signing up.

I’ve been asking about the plan for quite a few times already. I asked those reps at SM City Cebu and here’s how our conversations usually went.
