Barbeque Joe’s

Last Friday, August 15th, I was at Barbeque Joe’s (The Walk, IT Park) for the food trip that my blog mates and I have planned to do.We planned the food trip, but not the place where to eat, we were planning to eat at Casa Verde with my team mates, but Casa Verde was so full and we were too famished, so we settled for what was available and for something that didn’t cost us too much of a pretty penny. The place was barely noticeable though, like there wasn’t even a sign, except for the sign taped on the glass door.

Ok, so I had the Chicken Barbeque 1/4 meal and some Green Mango shake to wash it all down. Click to see how it looks like and how much I paid for the meal.

Total Expenses:

Chicken Barbeque – 90.00
Green Mango Shake – 45.00

Total                          135.00

Not too bad, huh? If you are looking for non-gourmet meals, Barbeque Joe’s is a good place to be. Now what exactly is good about the place?

The ambiance. The place itself was a really nice place to eat in, the temperature was just right, there was also a loft just in case that you liked eating over everybody else. Take a look at this shot from above.

I love the trellis and the glowing balls, don’t you? The food was also served quite fast, and the chicken was really nice, tender and juicy, but it was still slightly undone. The meat was still slightly red and I’m not too sure if it was still a little bloody. :?

My team mates ordered the Pork Barbeque Meal, and well, they weren’t too happy. They pretty much complained about how hard the meat was, and how some of them had some ants in their rice. We’ve pretty much dubbed the restaurant the “Ants Restaurant”. I didn’t have any ants in my rice, but I spotted a couple in my shake.

Now let’s talk about the shake, it was really good, in my opinion. I loved how the green mango tasted and the sweetness was just right. But… It still had a couple of ants, and it was not pleasing to the eye. Very bad for the restaurant. I mean, if you are eating out, you gotta make sure that the restaurant doesn’t serve you any ants, right?

Would you love to be served any bugs? Ew.

So if I were to rate the restaurant from 1 to 10, 10 being the highest, I’d give it a 3.
