What is your ISP?
Mine is Smartbro. Up until like a month or so ago, my Internet has been doing really great. I don’t really need to have super fast Internet, since what I do is check my e-mails, post in forums, chat and well, occassionally watch videos over the Internet.
Oh, and let’s not forget, blog and extend communities.
Well, since I’m out of the lock-in period of the ISP, I wanted to sign up for the other ISPs, since Smartbro isn’t offering anything better than 384kbps. I would’ve gone for the 768kbps plan of PLDT, but I held back because of a lot of PLDT’s subscribers have been complaining about how bad the service is. Just a few days ago, I went to ask about the service in the nearby Internet cafe, and well, the girl sitting behind the desk was super not pleased with the service.
“PLDT? Duha ka semana way Internet! Patay kaayo ang negosyo!” was what she had to say.
In English, “PLDT? Two weeks without Internet! Business is so dead!”
So needless to say, I was pretty :O and her comment of course scared me into not wanting to subscribe to PLDT. Now what about Globelines? I’ve had some techs bothering me into subscribing to Globelines, but from the forum that I’ve been posting and reading in, Globelines has a lot of subscribers in ther from all over Cebu complaining about how bad the service is, that Globelines has been too busy with getting more subscribers, but don’t care about how their current subscribers are thinking about their service.
So, what is your ISP, and how better is it from Smartbro?

I have a friend who uses SmartBro, sige lang siyag kawad-an ug connection from what I’ve observed. murag naay occurrence every two weeks.
At my workplace kay Globelines Broadband ang gamit, naay times nga mawagtang lag kalit ang connection for no reason. nya after some minutes or an hour (or so) mubalik nasad.
At home we use PLDT MyDSL… I’ve had it since 2003. Sure naay problems usahay… during its early years muhinay ang connection on weekends. But karon ok na. Naa toy time nga nawagtang ang net for like a week this year, i forgot the reason… murag nag-upgrade to sila sa ilahang systems (kuno) or naa ba toy naguba sa ila.
Ang customer service sa globe ug pldt kay pare-pareho ra. Akong ma-suggest kay PLDT MyDSL nalang kay mas barato compared to Globe. mao ra… bow. hehehe!
