Cebu Bloggers with the Governor
After the successful meet-up with the Davao bloggers and fellow Cebu bloggers, here comes another meet-up in the making, but this time it won’t only be with just the Cebu and Davao bloggers, it will be with the Governor herself, Gov. Gwen Garcia. This press conference will also be in relation to the bloggers’ summit to be held in August, but information for that will be disclosed as soon as everything is ironed out already.
There will be a press conference this coming Tuesday, July 15, 2008, 11:00AM at the Cebu City Sports Club. I got the message off from the Visayas Bloggers Google Group, saying that Ms. Governor herself is inviting us to join the press conference.
Right now, we still need more bloggers to come. I don’t have the exact number of bloggers that will be there as of the moment, but if you are a visayas-based blogger or a blogger that is visiting the Visayas, please don’t hesitate to confirm your attendance with Rio Calle at 09228308168.

Godpseed to your meet up with the good Governor. Hopefully, she can promote blogging as tool for local participatory governance. I tried to convince Bohol Governor Aumentado on this new tool two years ago. Unfortunately very few public officials see the opportunity of enhancing G2C C2G communication, i.e. government-to-citizen and citizen-to-government conversation.
Too bad I can’t join this. I haven’t met her in person yet since I’m from Dumaguete. Likewise, I try to stretch my work sched if it’s not too late. My support still with the bloggers.

I hope there will be another meetup when all of us are less busy with our jobs and schedules. I just got lucky that my day off is on Monday and I won’t have to show up for work until Tuesday late at night. I’ll post updates ASAP.
Wilhelmina, I tried it on another computer with IE6 again. The 2 bars are still not positioned correctly. Are you using IE6 or 7?
