Tuna and Cheese Sandwich
Hmmm… Looks like this blog is slowly turning into a food blog. Except that I have no nutritional facts to state on here. Is it too obvious that I love food? Today, I was all psyched up to go to class only to find out that the regular afternoon class was moved to this morning.
I was like, “Noooooo! My six pesos got wasted for coming here????”
Then again, I’d rather be out than stay at home during the afternoon, because the summer heat can really wear you out in the Philippines. Really. It’s bad. It’s nice if you’re at the beach or just outside, but if you knew how hot it is in my room, whew!
The review center was just about a hundred or so feet away from the nearest mall, so I decided to hop over (like a bunny!) and went to the newest coffee shop there. Best thing about a coffee shop is that they hardly have any customers and it’s okay if you overstayed because they don’t have anybody else to entertain but you.
I like coffee shops, because the music is never too quiet nor too loud, the air conditioner’s temperature’s just right, you don’t freeze or sweat, the tables are of the right height and chairs are always so comfy. So I went over to the counter and got myself a cold tall-sized Cafe Mocca (yummy) and I wanted a Chicken and Cheese Sandwich, but apparently they didn’t have any chicken today, so I got myself a Tuna and Cheese Sandwich. I sat over at a table in my lonesome and took out my review book, my pencil, Calvin(my calculator), and a paper pad that third grade kids use.
That’s one more thing that I like about those places. The place is very conducive for studying. So I pretty much didn’t care that I spent 130 pesos on the coffee and sandwich. I stayed for just a few hours because I had laundry to do at home.
When the coffee and sandwich was served, I was pretty surprised at how big the sandwich was. It was placed on a big dish, halved and with some chips. I think they were Taquitos (local chips that you can buy for a cheap five pesos). I couldn’t smell the sandwich, even with my sensitive nose, probably because of the air conditioning, but when I tasted it, I just wuuuuved it! My sixty pesos was worth the yumminess after all.

haha, if ever ill get a laptop, it’ll be one of my favorite hangouts then. hehe.
