Congratulations, Graduates!
It’s the finals week for both my little brother and sister. And for most of the college students here in Cebu, except for the graduating students. Why isn’t it the finals for them? Because they’re already done with their finals, that’s why. Last week, they already took their exams, while the candidates for the honor roll took their about two to three weeks ago. Well, if you go to the Cebu Institute of Technology, that’s how it works.
It’s graduation day again this March 15, 2008. I graduated from my first degree on March 19th, almost three years ago. Saying that, I realize that I’ve done so little in getting wealthy. By wealthy, I don’t just mean getting rich financially. I mean getting rich in experience in life, work experience, and more. But it’s not because I was slacking off, it’s because I went back to school. Yeah, I graduated with two degrees.
Anyway, now that you’re finally done with schooling, be thankful, because not everyone can have the opportunity of getting through college or even having the opportunity to learn. You may say that you don’t need to go to school, but if you knew the number of people, most specifically women, who want to learn so that they won’t be taken advantage of anymore, you might want to take that back.
