It doesn’t matter if it’s fast food or actual restaurant customer service, as long as the service is good. Just a few hours ago, my sister and I felt like eating out at a fast food joint, since we haven’t eaten out in quite a while. Fast food here’s cheap and yeah well, fast. So we ordered some chicken, some extra rice, two sundaes, one iced tea and one Coke. The girl behind the counter gives us everything, except the two extra rice we ordered and only one sundae. Sure it was cheaper, but we didn’t get what we wanted, and then when we asked her where the extra rice was, she looked at us so sternly and said, “You didn’t order any.”. Then she looked at the receipt, and sure enough, she didn’t punch the extra order. Then we told her we ordered two sundaes, then says, “No, you didn’t.”. I took out some extra money and handed it to her just to get the extra sundae, because it would be unfair if only one of us had dessert. she gave us the other sundae giving us the “you’re stupid” look. And that’s what got my blood boiling.

The fast food joint that I’m talking about is very well-known for their quality service in the Philippines. If you got hired by the company, they train you very well. Well, supposedly. Then that’s going to be your edge among the other employees. But apparently, that branch didn’t give enough training. Seriously, the girl was rude, the guard that’s supposed to be at his post all the time wasn’t there, and the place smelled bad. And they didn’t give the usual courtesy greeting. The manager was standing right there, and didn’t even say anything. I know I should have complained, the service wouldn’t improve if nobody complained.

I’ve been to enough branches of the fast food chain to say the service was always good, and I was not expecting less of the branch that we went to earlier. But I’m afraid that branch has destroyed their image for me. I just sent a complaint form, telling them to train their employees better at that area, so hopefully they really do. My first time at that place would be the last time there too. One less customer at that place.
